Safest City in America

Fontana Rated as One of the Top 20 Safest Cities in America

Fontana, California: Mayor Acquanetta Warren and the City Council are pleased to announce that Fontana is rated as being one of the safest cities in America. The City of Fontana was rated as the 15th safest city in the entire country and 4th in the State of California.

Those of us who live here know we have been a safe city for many years. Public Safety has always been our Number 1 priority and through hard work coupled with an excellent police force, Fontana has received national recognition,” Mayor Warren said.

Chief of Police Rod Jones added that much of the credit goes to the community for without their support his men and women of the police force would not be as effective. Chief Jones said, “I am proud of the dedicated men and women of the Fontana Police Department and the residents who are actively involved in working alongside us.

The Chief added, “On behalf of the Police Department, I must acknowledge the strong unwavering support the Fontana Police Department has always received from our City leaders. Our elected officials have always made public safety a priority.

The July issue of “Business Insider” rated Fontana as the 15th Safest City in the nation. “Business Insider” published their ratings after researching the latest FBI crime reports and based their ratings on crimes per 100,000 in population.
